Program Overview

Training

During your initial training at the Black Bay Technical Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida, you will learn how to operate an independent Electric Vehicle (EV) Conversion Facility. Your training will include both classroom and actual "hands-on" instruction. Topics include technical aspects of conversion, converted vehicle testing and diagnosis procedures, sales techniques and, most importantly, the fine points of maintaining good customer relations. As electric vehicle technology advances and vehicle conversions become more complex, we assist you in staying up to date with the changes.

Certification

Once training is completed, your facility will be designated a “Certified Electric Vehicle Conversion Facility” and will become part of the EV Specialist Network. Each individual completing the program will be designated a “Certified EV Specialist.”

Support Services

As a participant in the Program, you will have available a number of important communication resources. We are available for advice via e-mail and via telephone. A convenient technical hotline is available for day-to-day problem solving. Also available are marketing materials, timely product information bulletins, a quarterly newsletter and an Annual Manager Meeting.

Advertising & Marketing

Our Marketing Department provides advertising materials that can be adapted to your local market needs. We will assist you in developing productive advertising and public relations campaigns. You will be listed on our Web Site as a Certified Conversion Facility and any potential customer contacts from your area will be referred to you. Our Web Site will include a discussion list that will allow you to communicate with other conversion shops in our network and share ideas, information and experiences.

Access to New Technology, Certification and Training

We will strive to source the latest and best technologies as they become available and make these technologies available to you. In addition, our affiliates will conduct research and development programs furthering the state-of-the-art in EV technology. You will be among the first to offer these ground-breaking technologies as they become available.
